The Combustion Institute, the Local Host Team, and the Program Co-Chairs are excited to announce that the 38th International Symposium on Combustion shall be held on time, following a Hybrid Model. With this model, those who can attend in person will be able to do so and the rest will be able to register and attend virtually. Attendees can expect the programme to consist of a combination of live and recorded presentations.

The 38th International Symposium on Combustion will take place in Adelaide, Australia from the 24th to the 29th January 2021.

Members have the option of registering for in-person or virtual attendance. Given the current state of travel, it is recommend that delegates register for virtual attendance before the early-bird closing date of 8 November 2020. If travel situations improve, delegates can later change to in-person attendance by paying the difference in registration fees.

Each concurrent session presentation will exist in a pre-recorded format. In the event that no author or designated representative is able to attend in-person, the recorded presentation will be used to deliver the content.

The Combustion Institute believes this model will allow for the maximum participation of speakers, authors, and attendees. Please visit the symposium website for more information and to register. Questions may be directed to office@combustioninstitute.org.
