The IFRF is planning an exciting programme of events for 2027. This includes our flagship biannual IFRF conference, together with 3 technical meetings on a range of highly relevant industrial topics.
In addition, the IFRF will soon launch a new series of free-to-attend webinars in 2027. The first of these will be in February 2027 – details to follow shortly.
21st IFRF Conference ‘ Industrial Combustion in the Era of Decarbonisation’.
10th to 13th May 2027 in Houlgate, Normandy
Co-organised by the IFRF Comité Français.
We are pleased to announce that the call for abstracts is now open, with a closing date of 30 November 2026.
Other important dates for the conference are:
15 Jan 2027: Notification of abstract acceptance
31 Jan 2027: Early bird registration deadline
15 Mar 2027: Submission deadline for minimum 5-page papers
The conference will bring together experts from industry, academia and research organisations to share the latest developments in industrial combustion, decarbonisation technologies and process innovation. Key topics for the conference include Clean & Alternative Fuels, Combustion Processes, Tools & Methods, Industrial Sectors, Innovation, Policy/ Regulation & Standards, and a special focus on Pilot plants and large-scale demonstration projects including major EU-funded projects.
We are also delighted to announce that on the afternoon of Monday 10th May, CYPHER will be hosting a workshop entitled ‘Digital twins in industrial combustion’. CYPHER is a groundbreaking European collaboration focused on decarbonising Energy-Intensive Industries (EIIs) through innovative approaches in combustion, fluid dynamics, and data science.
Further details including registration and keynote speakers are included on the IFRF events page.
