Sumitomo SHI FW – the entity formed by the merger of Foster Wheeler and Sumitomo Heavy Industry – has been awarded a contract to design and supply SMG Energy’s Biomass Power Plant, to be built in Gunsan City, South Korea. The 100 MW plant will incorporate a circulated fluidized bed burning 100% wood pellets, the fourth such biomass-fired CFB steam generator supplied by the company to South Korea.
