RJM, a long-standing supporter of the IFRF, has announced that it has won a performance improvement project at Malakoff’s Tanjung Bin 4 power station in Malaysia.  Following the successful completion of a combustion audit, RJM has now been commissioned by Malakoff – Malaysia’s largest independent power producer – to build on the findings of the audit and carry out a full combustion tuning project to improve combustion performance. The 1,000MW plant, commissioned in 2016, is a T-fired GE/Alstom ultra-supercritical unit, firing sub-bituminous coal. Tuning the plant will offer opportunities to meet stricter emissions standards and allow a wider fuel diet.
