Norway’s CO2 Capsol has announced it is to establish an office in Berlin, Germany, in the first quarter of this year, as the company seeks to tap into the carbon capture market of Europe’s largest economy. Not only does Germany release the largest amount of CO2 of any European country, it also has the most waste-to-energy plants, reflective of the large commercial potential. In November last year, CO2 Capsol won contracts to demonstrate its technology at a German waste-to-energy plant and at a German biomass-fired combined heat and power plant over a 12-month period. T

he new office, to be headed by Moritz Köpcke, will help to service those two projects and further business development.
