  • SLB Capturi has completed commissioning and is handing over its modular carbon capture and liquefaction plant at Twence’s waste-to-energy facility in the Netherlands.

The facility was built according to SLB Capturi’s standard, modular Just Catch™ design, which reduces onsite installation and outfitting work. Comprising three process containers and one E&I container for local control, it has the capacity to capture up to 100,000 metric tons of CO2 per year.

Twence has two main business lines and produces both energy and raw materials from waste and biomass. The CO₂ produced within the new carbon capture plant will be of food-grade quality and will be transported to nearby greenhouses to be used to increase the yield of flowers and vegetables.

SLB Capturi is the joint venture between SLB and Aker Carbon Capture, dedicated to carbon removal and reduction solutions. The company is currently delivering seven carbon capture plants to bioenergy, waste to energy, and cement facilities.
