The end of January saw Czech clean technology company 2JCP announce that it will work with Britain’s KEW Technology to “engineer and manufacture a unique CCH (carbon capture and hydrogen purification) plant that can decompose synthetic gas into very pure hydrogen, industrial hydrogen and CO2 in the process of gasification of biomass or waste.”

The process technology itself is KEW Technology’s – a tempting acronym would be KEWT – and operates using a water-gas shift reaction. 2JCP will work on engineering the pilot plant this year, with KEW Technologies to then offer the technology commercially, and globally, marketing it towards a more circular economy.
