Job Title: Site Manager, European Combustion Research Centre
Fives are looking for the manager, responsible for their European combustion centre, driven by the same desire to make the industry more attractive. Your goal will be to ensure the development of the burners of the future and low-carbon energies, with more specific missions to:
Mission 1: Combustion Test Planning and achievement
- Plan and achieve the combustion tests according to Fives Pillard and Fives ITAS R&D programs, respecting safety procedures, technical specifications and budgets
- Ensure the reliability of the combustion tests by ensuring the appropriate instrumentation and combustion measurements reliability
- Manage the resources, and adapt the facilities to the need of Fives R&D programmes.
Mission 2: Product development and improvement, technical support
- Through your skill, observations and measurements, participate in product development, and propose improvements for associated validation tests
- Ensure continuous technological watch (materials, digital, instrumentation)
- Bring technical support for commissioning of new products during ‘first industry’ stage.
Mission 3: Combustion centre management and HSE management
- Hierarchical management of the engineers, technicians and workers on the site (2 to 4 people)
- Ensure compliance of FECC regarding all QHSE policies and risk management including the respect of local QHSE regulations.
Required competencies:
- 10+ years with solid experience in thermal industrial site or industrial lab preferably in the combustion field. Experience in burners is an asset
- Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and combustion
- Languages: Italian and English fluent, French is a plus
- Leadership, autonomy and rigour.
- Technical curiosity and sense of initiative.
- Ability to analyse.
- Ability to communicate with clarity.
Attached to Fives ITAS, you will work under the supervision of the BU Combustion R&D Director.
