Infrared (IR) is the electromagnetic radiation between the regions of the visible light and the microwave and subdivided to the near (NIR – 0,75 to 2,5 micrometers), middle (MIR – 2,5 to 25 µm) and far (FIR – 25 to 500 micrometers) infrared.
