The Chair of Environmental Process Engineering and Plant Design is focussed on application-oriented research and development in the field of environmental process engineering and plant design. According to these activities the department is divided into working groups as follows:
• Environment-friendly energy and process engineering
• Treatment of wastes and residues
• Removal of pollutants
• Environmental measurement techniques and
• Environmental services
For research and development projects carried out in joint ventures with industrial companies various semi-technical and pilot scale test facilities are available. Some projects are carried out directly at industrial sites. Others are considered with computer simulations of industrial plants.
