Summary

The 15th DVV (Deutsche Vereinigung für Verbrennungsforschung, German Flame Association) conference in combination with the Topical Orientated Technical Meeting (TOTeM) 32 of the IFRF took place on December the 15th and 16th 2008 in Freising near Munich, at the Kardinal-Döpfner Haus, formerly a bishop's residence.

The goal of the conference was to discuss the impact of ash related problems on design and operation of solid fuel fired boilers including biomass, waste, brown and hard coal, to present state of the art solutions and to identify future strategies.
