The IFRF have been asked to assist in the co-organisation of a dedicated Workshop on Digitalisation for the Decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries to be held on 10 April 2024 in Ljubljana. This workshop is intended to provide a unique forum to explore the complex challenges associated with the digitalisation of hard-to-abate industries. Participants will discuss current trends, barriers, and policy considerations shaping the decarbonisation landscape. The workshop aims to facilitate a comprehensive exploration of the strategies, technologies, and collaborative approaches needed to advance meaningful decarbonisation initiatives in these important sectors.

It will be an integral part of the wider CYPHER COST Action First General Meeting to take place in Ljubljana from 10-12 April 2024. This wider event aims to foster collaborative research and knowledge exchange in the field of Renewable Synthetic Fuel combustion. The meeting will bring together a diverse network of researchers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry partners with the common goal of advancing innovative solutions for the decarbonisation of Energy-Intensive Industries in Europe and beyond.

Preliminary details of the event together with the call abstracts is available, with registration open from 5 February 2024. Attendance fees are relatively modest:

  • CYPHER Non-Member:     122 EUR (22% VAT included)
