COMBURA 2010
This annual event takes places near Maastricht on 12 and 13 October.  The meeting is organized by the Technology Foundation STW, the Dutch section of the Combustion Institute and the Nederlandse Vlamvereniging (NVV).  Click on the event link to find out more about the NVV Combustion Award which is associated with this event.

Coal Characterisation in Chatou
EDF Group University is the venue for the second technical meeting to be hosted by EDF R&D in Chatou on 13 October.  New information is available at the event link including directions and a hotel guide.  The final programme will be published towards the end of this week.

TOTeM 34/EFRI Technical Meeting
TOTeM 34 – Gas Turbine Research: Fuels, Combustion, Heat Transfer and Emissions takes place in Cardiff on 20 and 21 October.  Professor John Harries, Chief Scientific Adviser for Wales, will open the meeting.

TOTeM 34 will be preceded (at the same venue on October 19), by the second in the series of EFRI Technical Meetings on the topic of High Pressure Combustion Test Rigs

Les enjeux de la combustion enrichie en oxygène (Aspects of oxygen enriched combustion)
The final programme for this joint meeting of the French section of the Combustion Institute and the French Committee of the IFRF is available for download here. The meeting will take place in Paris on Thursday October 14th in the French language.

The Swedish and Finnish Flame Days
A Second Announcement with registration form has been published for the event organised by the National Committees of the IFRF and the Scandinavian-Nordic section of the Combustion Institute.  The Flame Days will be held on 26-27 January 2011 in Piteå, Sweden. The title of the event is Challenges in Combustion Technology today.  Abstracts are invited and the closing date has been moved to 31 October.
