In this MNM e-bulletin, the focus is on two up-coming meetings/conference that the IFRF is very involved with:  our own TOTeM 44 meeting in Essen, Germany in March; and the INFUB-11 conference in Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal in April.  Why not banish the ‘February blues’ by looking forward to one of these interesting combustion events!

IFRF has, in the past, organised successful training events and courses on different aspects of flame research and combustion science.  We are hoping to start doing this again in the coming year or two and have a few ideas to develop.  In the meantime, an interesting course – ‘OpenFOAM’ – has come to our attention, taking place in Brussels, Belgium in July.
