On October 16 – 18, 2006 Heat Transfer Research, Inc hosted the American Flame Research Committee‚ the  27th AFRC Symposium on “Revamp and Innovative Design of Fired Equipment” in The Woodlands near Houston, Texas. The co-chairs were Nathan W. Kidd and R. Stan Kistler of HTRI.

The symposium provided high quality presentations in more than fifteen sessions to a wide audience of applied combustion technology experts.  Topics included heater calculation methods, heater simulation, heater retrofit and revamp experiences, pollution measurement techniques, flares, and new technologies such as flameless combustion.

The Proceedings CD includes PDFs of the meeting binder and 18 presentations, as well as papers, supplemental movie files, and additional utilities provided later by the presenters.
