• Speakers confirmed for French Italian Joint meeting

Key speakers have been confirmed for three of the four main topic areas to be covered at the Joint Meeting of the French and Italian IFRF National Committees and the associated sections of the Combustion Institute which takes place in Pisa next April.

The theme Heterogeneous and spray combustion will be handled by Osvalda Senneca, who is from Istituto di Ricerche sulla Combustione (IRC-CNR), Naples.  Alessandro Saponaro of Italian organisation Ansaldo, will speak to the topic of Air-pollution control and environmental impact incl. CO2 emissions.  For Alternative fuels, the speaker will be Frédérique Battin-Leclerc of Laboratoire Réactions et Génie des Procédés (LRGP), Nancy, France.

The speaker on the topic Towards an accurate modeling of large scale combustion systems is still to be confirmed.

The event is planned to enhance collaboration and information exchange in the French and Italian combustion communities, and will articulate around the above mentioned themes alternating with poster sessions. 

Poster abstracts are invited and should be received by 31 January 2014.  All the details appear on the IFRF Events Calendar in the First Announcement and Call for poster abstracts along with some information about the venue and details of accommodation arrangements.
