IFRF member RJM International, the award-winning provider of innovative emissions reduction technology and equipment to the power generation and large combustion plant sectors worldwide, has appointed Dr. Daniel Spálenka to lead its sales drive into Europe.

Dr. Spálenka, a German national living in the Czech Republic, has a successful track record of achieving sales growth in a number of different industrial sectors including power generation, where he was Head of Industrial Sales for Alstom Power AG / GE Power AG, with regional responsibility for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Prior to joining RJM, Dr. Spálenka was Business Development Director, EMEA for Integrated Global Services, Inc., a manufacturer of specialised surface protection systems.

Dr. Spálenka gained his masters degree in mechanical engineering at the University of German Federal Armed Forces in Neubiberg and went on to join its International Management Programme. He then took an MBA programme and gained his doctorate at his Alma Mater, with his dissertation focusing on “Successful CRM implementation for small- to medium-sized businesses”.

Commenting on his appointment, John Goldring, RJM’s Managing Director said, “With a proven track-record of identifying, developing and converting sales leads into new sales contracts, I am delighted that Daniel is joining the RJM team.

“In addition, with his detailed technical knowledge of the power generation sector across Europe, particularly in Eastern Europe, I am confident that he will be able to build on our notable successes in the region and accelerate our ambitious sales growth programme”, he confirmed.

Dr. Spálenka said, “RJM has an impressive emissions reduction and efficiency improvement offer that is highly cost-effective, so I know it will have strong appeal with generators, particularly those in Eastern Europe, facing a combination of environmental, flexibility and cost pressures.”
