Participants may now register for the IFRF course Clean Industrial Fuel Conversion which is being offered in Livorno from 8-12 September 2008. The course will be coordinated by Professor Klaus Hein of the University of Stuttgart, and is directed at Marie Curie fellows, IFRF Members and representatives from the international combustion community at large. The training intervention links the IFRF with INECSE (Integrated Energy Conversion for a Sustainable Environment) and speakers will include leading representatives from academia and industry.
Briefly the course will consist of formal lectures delivered by representatives from the IFRF research and industrial community. Each presenter will review the state of the art of technology in the topic area in question and provide an insight into current problems. Through participant interaction, future research needs will be discussed so that these may be fed back to the scientific community to assist in the identification of potential research topics.
The course will be held at the IFRF’s Operational Centre and will also include an IFRF orientation session and a visit to the Research Station at Livorno. There will be abundant networking opportunities for both INECSE participants and potential users of their research experience and results.
The full programme, along with an electronic registration form and all the requisite logistics information and website references is available at http://www.calendar.ifrf.net/event.html?id=294 . Participants are asked to check the site regularly for new updates and other important organisational information which will be added as it becomes available.
