Tomorrow, Tuesday 9th November, our colleague, Jost Wendt, Professor and Head of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at he University of Arizona will be presented with the 2004 AIChE Lawrence K Cecil Environmental Award in Austin, Texas, USA.

This will take place during the AIChE 2004 Annual meeting, where Jost will lecture on “Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and the case for Health Effects Engineering”.


On behalf of his many colleagues within the IFRF NET we congratulate Jost on this honor and wish him and his AIChE colleagues a most successful day.


Jost has co-operated with the IFRF for many years.  He was a visiting Investigator at the IFRF on Sabbatical in the 1980s – Chaired TOTeM16 on the subject of “Toxic Metal and Fine Particles from Combustion Processes” and serves as a Member of the IFRF Scientific and Technical Advisory Group – STAG, and is a Member of the Editorial Boards of the IFRF Combustion Journal and the IFRF Combustion Handbook – Congratulations from the IFRF!
