  • Lulea University of Technology would like to announce a PhD position within the Marie Curie program: Aero-acoustical and thermo-acoustical coupling in energy processes.

The goal of the project is to better understand combustion generated noise, acoustically induced combustion instabilities and other issues connected to aero-acoustics and thermo-acoustics in combustion processes. In our part of the project we will focus specifically on combustion of biomass. The subject area is an extremely rich area from a scientific point of view and the student will have the opportunity to make exciting new discoveries. The work will be mainly experimental but it is possible to make computational studies as well if the student has that interest. The project is part of a Marie Curie collaboration with several other research institutions in Europe, e.g. University of Cambridge, TU Munchen, University of Twente, KU Leuven, CERFACS etc. Part of the course work will be done at the partner institutions. The position is a project employment at the university with full benefits (social security, health care, pension plan etc.). For more information contact professor Rikard Gebart, Lulea University of Technology (email: rikard@etcpitea.se).
