IFRF General Secretary, Prof Mohamed Pourkashanian and Dr Karen N Finney, University of Sheffield are hosting a scientific workshop on ‘NanoMaterials Enhanced Membranes for Carbon Capture’ in Sheffield on 20th March 2018.

The event will begin with a selection of talks from the scientific partners of ‘NanoMEMC2’ (NanoMaterial Enhanced Membranes for Carbon Capture) followed by a dedicated poster session and a technical discussion panel.

The NanoMEMC2 project, funded by the EC through the EU’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation program (Grant 727734), aims to reduce the cost, energy and process limitations that make pre-/post-combustion carbon capture non-viable in many industrial applications at present.

All delegates are welcome to bring a poster relating to the themes of ‘membrane research’ or ‘carbon capture’ – please email Karen (k.n.finney@sheffield.ac.uk) to confirm which category your poster will fit into.

IFRF will be attending the event and we hope to see some of you too. If you are unable to attend – we will be live tweeting from the event (@IFRFOffice) and producing an event follow up which will be published in a future MNM.
