Researcher, Laboratory of Thermodynamics

The post is to work in a research project funded by the Academy of Finland with an objective to measure and assess the hydrodynamic interaction of solid granular phases with large size ratios, which will improve the current models used in gas-solid multiphase models, especially used in fluidized bed boilers fed by biomass fuel.

Applicants should have already PhD or DSc (Eng.) degrees in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, chemical engineering, applied physics, or any relevant majors. A strong background and publication records in the field of fluid dynamics, multiphase flows (especially gas-solid) and applied physics is required along with substantial skills in computer programming. Applicants should have MSc or MSc (Eng.) degrees in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, chemical engineering, applied physics, or any relevant majors to be eligible for doctoral studies in the target time of four (4) years. A strong background in fluid dynamics, multiphase flows (especially gas-solid), and computer programming is required.
