Within the Strategic Business Unit Combustion, Fives are looking for a Test Engineer (M/F) to work at their new Test Centre at Piacenza in Italy.

Job description:

The role of the Test Engineer will be to:

1 Achieve combustion tests according to the safety procedures and functional specifications, ensuring the reliability of the tests and reporting tests results along the way either directly or via written reports and analysis ;
2 Propose product improvements through observations during test campaigns. identify required improvements and associated validation tests ;
3 Provide technical support during commissioning phases ;
4 Plan combustion tests so as to allow an optimization of the Test Center running, and minimize waiting time, according to the available resources ; and
5 Adapt the test equipment (HMI, supervision, etc.) according to test campaigns.

Required competencies :

• Senior engineer with a solid experience in the energy field (with a preference for combustion specialization (French equivalent of “Mastère 2”)
• Instrumentation, Control and Supervision skills
• Software : Pack office, PLC environment (Siemens, Schneider), supervision environment (Wonderware)
• CAC, CAD (Solidworks ) and CFD modelling is an asset
• Autonomous and entrepreneur, the test engineer will need to be rigourous  and organized to succeed in this job. His/her ability to analyse, synthetize and communicate clearly will be crucial to fullfill his/her missions.
• English : fluent speaking, reading, writing
• Italian : speaking, reading, writing is an asset
• French : speaking, reading, writing is an asset
Required experience :
• 5 to 10 years experience in the energy field
