British Flame is organizing a Workshop entitled “Industrial Combustion of Waste in the Energy Challenge – Innovate or Stagnate”. This event will be held at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering of the Sheffield University on the 16th January 2007.

The purpose of this workshop is to facilitate links between academia and industry and identify areas in which R&D effort will provide the greatest benefit to companies involved in the use of waste as an energy resource.

By holding this Workshop, British Flame are seeking to open dialogue between industry and academia on the potential for waste as an energy source. During the day it is hoped that it will be possible to identify the range of technical options that are currently available for converting waste into energy, along with considering those that are still in development.
