This week, the IFRF Handbook commences its 2004 publication campaign with three new Combustion Files relating to ignition. This is a new topic for the IFRF Handbook.

CF256 What is ignition? – Open Domain

CF268 What is laser induced ignition? – Members’ Domain

CF269 What are the characteristics of laser ignition? – Members’ Domain

These combustion files have been authored by Maximilian Lackner and Franz Winter of TU Vienna, and refereed by Prof. Marcus Alden from Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden.

We are planning to publish two more Combustion Files on this topic during January. We would welcome  suggestions and offers of material for further Combustion Files on this topic by email to handbook@ifrf.net.

IFRF Members may read or download these new Combustion Files at www.handbook.ifrf.net, by selecting ‘New Combustion Files’ after accepting the disclaimer screen.

Other Combustion Files on related themes, many of which are also open to non-IFRF members,  may be found by using the links built into the CFs, or by searching the Handbook with the  keywords like ‘ignition’  or ‘start’ or ‘stability’.
