As I reported back in April 2024, Patrick Lavery, our long time CIN reporter, moved on to pastures new after a 22 year association with IFRF. You may have wondered who has been producing CIN for the last 6 months? I’m pleased to reveal that Tracey Biller has been our ‘guest’ reporter and has now officially joined the MNM Team. I asked Tracey to tell us a little bit about herself and what made her reach out to us to undertake this key task for IFRF:
Tracey is a business writer and marketing communications specialist. She holds MBA and BA degrees from the University of Cape Town and joined the IFRF at Livorno as Communications Manager in 2007, bringing with her extensive corporate experience in brand and investor relations management gained in the financial services industry.
Having participated in the launch of South Africa’s first socially responsible unit trust fund, Tracey also brought a keen interest in environmental sustainability. Over the next seven years, she channelled this interest into developing IFRF’S marketing communications assets to include detailed annual reports, a suite of technical and informational brochures, comprehensive website copy, and a weekly edition of the Monday Night Mail. She also organised numerous TOTeMS and IFRF conferences, and contributed to dissemination efforts in EU-funded projects including DEBCO and BRISK.
Since 2014, Tracey has worked independently as a ghostwriter, instructional designer, and content marketer. Environmental sustainability, enterprise technology, AI, and the data centre industry are key areas of research and writing interest for Tracey, and she partners primarily with B2B tech and manufacturing companies and their agencies to produce corporate communications and training materials and multimedia brand building and sales assets such as long-form articles, videos, website content, case studies, white papers, and newsletters.
As Tracey produced the Monday Night Mail for many years and conceptualised Combustion Industry News with Patrick Lavery, I am delighted she reached out to us to offer her reporting services and I welcome her to the MNM team.
Tracey tells me she’d like Combustion Industry News to be a mix of hard news and expert opinion that’s a quick and helpful read for busy professionals. She says feedback and news tips from readers would be extremely useful!
