This week, we continue to develop the theme of in-flame measurements within the IFRF Handbook with one new Combustion File dealing with practical aspects of using Laser Doppler Velocimetry in industrial scale flames:

CF140: How do I measure velocity in an industrial scale flame using a Laser Doppler Velocimeter (LDV)?  – Members’ Domain

I have prepared this file based on existing IFRF publications, and with the support of Jacques Dugue of Air Liquide who has refereed the file. Jacques was a member of the IFRF team who undertook the development and testing of this technique back in  the 1990s.

To read or download these and other recently published files, please go to www.handbook.ifrf.net, and select ‘New Combustion Files’ after accepting the disclaimer screen. Other Combustion Files on the same theme may be found by using the links built into CF140 or searching the Handbook with the Keyword ‘Measurements’.
