Friday 16th October marks the eighth edition of the COMBURA symposium, the major annual event in The Netherlands for the exchange of information on combustion research and its applications.  A joint initiative of the Technology Foundation STW (Platform Clean and Efficient Combustion), Nederlandse Vlam Vereniging NVV (Dutch section of the International Flame Research Foundation IFRF) and the Dutch section of the Combustion Institute, Combura 2009 takes place at Nieuwegein, The Netherlands.

The BFRC one day technical meeting on Waste Energy Utilisation which was to take place on November 4 in Rotherham has had to be postponed and the item has been suspended from the calendar until there is more information available.

This is a further announcement that the 10th International Conference on Combustion and Energy Utilization (ICCEU 2010) will be held at the Mugla University, Turkey from 4-8 May 2010. The conference will be an excellent opportunity to bring together combustion and energy specialists from all over the world and discuss scientific, technological and socio-economic challenges for a sustainable world energy future.  A first announcement is available online.
