IFRF’s Annual Report 2017 is now available to download. The new look report includes reports from Sauro Pasini, IFRF President and Philip Sharman, IFRF Director, plus a series of infographics depicting IFRF’s activities throughout 2017 and finally the organisation’s financial statements.

In his report, IFRF President, Sauro Pasini talks about the world of industrial combustion and states “IFRF can play a very important role, thanks to the large amount of know-how developed over the 70 years of its life, which can be transferred easily to these new countries and avoid having to ‘reinvent the wheel’.

He concluded by saying “The future will not be easy, but there is a large community confronted daily with the most varied combustion problems that can benefit from IFRF’s experience and services: The challenge will be to involve these sectors, to attract new members, to help develop young researchers… because there is still much to discover and apply.”

Philip Sharman, IFRF Director talked about the transitional period that 2017 has been for IFRF. At the beginning of the year he said “it was clear to the management team and IFRF Council that the services IFRF offers its members needed overhauling and making ‘fit for purpose’, and its operational costs needed to be reduced.”

Mr Sharman finished by highlighting that 2018 will be a year of transformation bringing in a new range of initiatives, tools and services for our members. “Together, these new initiatives – coupled with the further development of existing tools and services – will set IFRF in a new and exciting direction and make us fit for the next decade (even the next 70 years!).”
