The workshop, which will take place at the Engineering Faculty of the University of Pisa marks the consolidation of the cooperation agreement signed by UniPi and the IFRF and is to be attended by engineering students and graduates as well as representatives from Italian IFRF member organisations. 

 The object of the IFRF/Unipi agreement is to involve the University and Italian and European industries in promoting the “Internationalisation of Engineering studies” by enabling student participation in national and international training programs and seminars.

Amongst the speakers at the encounter will be Professor Klaus Hein of the University of Stuttgart, the IFRF’s General Secretary Gennaro di Michele (ENEL Ricerca), Professors Alessandro Franco and Stefano Barsall, both from UniPi, and IFRF Director Prof. Leonardo Tognotti.

The aim of the workshop is to overview the research activities undergone at the Faculty of Engineering and in collaboration with the IFRF.  Our hope is that the event will serve as a model for other academic institutions who may want to enter into collaboration with the IFRF.  I would be delighted to discuss proposals of this nature coming from any of our member universities.”
