The French and Italian IFRF National Committees and the associated sections of the Combustion Institute are organizing a joint meeting in Pisa on April 23 and 24 2014. The event is planned to enhance collaboration and information exchange in the French and Italian combustion communities, and will cover a wide range of topics, both research related and regarding industrial applications. A First Announcement has been published.

The organising committee includes Sébastien Caillat, Chairman of IFRF’s Comité Francais.  Mr. Caillat has revealed that the two days will articulate around invited keynote lectures and poster sessions primarily focused on 4 main topics, selected to stimulate exchanges between modelers, experimenters, chemists and/or physicists.

Poster abstracts are invited.  All relevant details can be found on the IFRF Events Calendar in the First Announcement and Call for poster abstracts along with some information about the venue and details of accommodation arrangements.  More information will be published as it becomes available.

In order to encourage full participation, including PhD students, the registration and accommodation fees have been fixed at the lowest possible levels.  The number of participants will be limited to 80 persons.
