• French Committee welcomes new Member and launches IFRF BRISK activity

The twice yearly annual Meeting of the IFRFs French National Committee (Comité Francais – CF)  took place at the CNRS/ENSMA Research Labs in near Poitiers arranged by Jean-Michel Most and Jean-Paul Bonnet, Director of the Institute pPrime

Some 20 individual Members representing 9 Member Organisations participated in the meeting.  The meeting followed the usual CF format of a short administrative meeting followed by technical presentations and a laboratory visit.

The following technical presentations were given after the formal meeting:

  • Biofuels Research Infrastructure – Opportunities for Transnational Access to EU Research Rigs (Neil Fricker, IFRF)
  • CCS system efficiency increases through oxygen enriched combustion (Jean-Michel Most, ENSMA/pPrime)
  • Modelling combustion in Industrial Gas Boilers using ANSYS CFX (Mathieu Ourliac, GdF Suez)
  • Development of PIV endoscopy for velocity measurements in high temperature combustion systems (David Honoré, CORIA)
