• FP7 Energy 2012 – call preview

In 2012, there will be two opportunities for Cooperative Research Co-funding under the European Commission’s FP7 ENERGY R&D Programme.  Both Calls will be published by the EC on July 20th 2011.

This article reviews the probable content of the calls. Registered users from organisations with an interest in the topics open for proposals are invited to make use of IFRF’s EFRI Forum to download further information and to facilitate the establishment of new Consortia.

FP7 – ENERGY – 2012 – 1

  • 2-stage application process for Cooperative Research Proposals to DG-RTD
    • Budget 141M€
    • Stage 1 deadline 25th October 2011
    • Projects with a combined value of 250% of the 141M€ budget will be invited to prepare and submit full proposals
  • Topics that may be of interest to EFRI/IFRF Members include:
    • Biofuels from Microalgae or Macroalgae
    • Efficient Energy Use in Manufacturing Industry (Heat Pumps only?)
    • Next Generation Heat Pump
    • Sustainable Bio-based Fuels for Air Transport
    • CO2 Capture and Storage

    • Budget 81M€
    • Deadline 8th March 2012
