  • The final programme for the IFRF Conference 2025 has been agreed and included in delegates packs. This includes some updates to the previously published programme:

    • Glass Futures: A Research and Collaboration Platform for Decarbonising Glass and other Foundation Industries – Rob Ireson, Glass Futures. This is now included in the poster session on the first day of the conference and will include news on the latest furnace testing as Glass Futures.
    • Shell Global Solutions: H2 Firing Challenges from Industry Perspective- Stefano Mania, Shell. This is now included in Session B1: Hydrogen (1) on the morning of the first day of the conference.

The full programme is available on the IFRF website and promises to be an exciting three days of keynote presentations, parallel technical sessions, posters and an interactive update on the leading EU Demonstrator Projects relating to combustion.

As well as the technical learning from the conference, I find that it is the discussions and networking opportunities during dinner and coffee breaks which often yield the best outcomes!

Thank you to everyone who has made the investment in time and cost to join us in Sheffield and I look forward to meeting you all in person.
