We have extended the Education and Training classification of the Calendar of Technical Events to include employment opportunities – two such opportunities are advertised today.

New Classification

This extended Technical Event classification – “Education, Training and Employment Opportunities” – does not deal with “Technical Events” in the general sense this Calendar which deals primarily with Technical Meeting.

However the need for companies, universities and other institutes, operating in the fields of combustion and the environment, to advertise their courses, training, research fellowships and other technical employment opportunities, is of interest to IFRF Member organisations and of course to Individual Members.

Consequently the IFRF have added this classification to the Calendar of Technical Events. Such education, training and employment opportunities are presented in the Calendar listed chronologically against the date of events such as courses, or against the deadline of submission of applications.  Opportunities published today are:

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Combustion at Kingston University, UK

Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in combustion. The position is created to support the expanding research and teaching activities in combustion related areas within the Faculty of Engineering.

Applications are invited from individuals with expertise in any area of combustion but particularly those with an interest in aspects of premixed combustion, gas explosion or combustion in engines/gas turbines. You will be able to apply your experience to develop your particular research areas as well as supporting some ongoing activities. You will have a strong publication record that complements the existing academic strengths of the Faculty and have demonstrated the ability or the potential to attract research funding. A PhD in related disciplines will be essential and you should also have an aptitude to contribute to the teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
