Next Monday 17 February is the deadline for poster abstracts for the French Italian Joint Meeting which takes place in Pisa in April.  The five keynote speakers are confirmed, and now include a representative from APRE, who will provide an introduction to Horizon 2020. 

The meeting, which is being organized by the French and Italian IFRF National Committees and the associated sections of the Combustion Institute, also has the support of the Franco Italian University as well as the French and Italian embassies in Rome and Paris. 

The key speakers include Osvalda Senneca, IRC-CNR, Naples, who will introduce the theme of Heterogeneous and spray combustion, Alessandro Saponaro of Ansaldo on the topic Air-pollution control and environmental impact incl. CO2 emissions, Frédérique Battin-Leclerc of LRGP, Nancy on Alternative fuels, and Denis Veynante, CNRS on Towards an accurate modeling of multi-scale combustion systems.  In addition the event will also feature a presentation from Chiara Pocaterra of APRE who will provide an introduction to Horizon 2020.

The Joint Meeting is planned to enhance collaboration and information exchange in the French and Italian combustion communities, and participation is warmly encouraged.  April is high season in Pisa so bookings should be made very soon!
