The 22nd German Flame Day will be held On September 21 and 22, 2005 at the University of Braunschweig, Germany.

It is organized by the VDI Wissensforum in cooperation with the Deutsche Vereinigung für Verbrennungsforschung e.V., the German section of the Combustion Institute and the VDI Society Energy Technology (VDI-GET).

The congress will be chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Klaus Görner, University Duisburg-Essen.

 

It is a tradition of this congress that the most recent operational and research results in the field of combustion and furnaces are discussed. Scientist present fundamentals while, practitioners have the opportunity to give new impulses to practical research.

The main topics of the congress will be:

  • Large-scale combustion, especially power plant firing
  • Investigation of combustion in motors and gas turbines
  • New and improved measurement techniques
  • Mathematical modeling and simulation

The topics of the poster show will be:

  • Combustion in industrial processes and thermal treatment
  • Firings in the decentralized range
