A new US Administration takes office in January and it will bring about many changes for the United States’ energy policies, creating new priorities, challenges and opportunities. According to statements in the recent Presidential campaign, the role of energy technologies will be a key part of this new Administration.

In response to this changed US perspective, the Clearwater Conference Committee has decided to broaden the scope of its June 2017 event. The name of the conference becomes the Clearwater Clean Energy Conference. The 42nd International Technical Conference on Clean Energy will take place on June 11 to 15, 2017, at the Sheraton Sand Key in Clearwater, Florida, USA. While the conference will continue to focus on opportunities and challenges as new and improved technologies are developed, it will also cover all the proposed programs and policies of the new US Administration.

Through Technical Sessions, Short Courses and Panels, cutting-edge developments dealing with technical solutions to problems; specific strategies; projects; innovations; industry trends; and/or regulatory compliance will be offered. The program presents an extensive overview of emerging, evolving, and innovative technologies, fuels and/or equipment in the power generation industry.

The organisers are now seeking papers for the conference from all countries worldwide. Academicians, engineers, super-scientists and researchers, through the technical presentations at the conference, will continue to inform decision makers and policymakers worldwide of the options available for energy use. The extended range of topics to be covered are listed on the IFRF Events Calendar and on the Call for Papers that can be downloaded there at http://www.calendar.ifrf.net/event.html?id=618
