After a decade working to review and publish articles in ‘Industrial Combustion’, CANMET colleagues Peter Gogolek and Cecilia Lam have found it impossible to continue in the role of Journal Editor and Secretary respectively. With effect from August 1st, Sebastien Caillat, of Fives Stein, takes over as Joint Editor with University of South Wales’ Neil Fricker.
Secretarial support has been brought in-house under the wings of Cristiana Gheorghe supported by IFRF’s man in Australia, Patrick Lavery. Neil Fricker, in his role as IFRF Director, takes responsibility with Cristiana for journal production.
The new team is currently reviewing papers awaiting publication, and you can expect to see regular announcements of new publications throughout the remainder of 2015. Industrial Combustion (ISSN 2075-3071) publishes peer group reviewed papers on stationary combustion systems relevant to industrial scale combustion. It is free to publish and free to view. There are no volumes or issues, so that approved papers are published just as soon as the reviewing and revision process is completed. More guidance on submitting papers at http://www.ifrf.net/page/online-journal/propose-a-paper.
The IFRF would like to take this opportunity of thanking Peter Gogolek and Cecilia Lam, as well as Peter’s predecessor Pat Hughes, for their unstinting hard work to publish papers in the Journal for over a decade.
