The IFRF in co-operation with the The American Flame Research Committee – the AFRC – today make the preliminary announcement of the 30th IFRF Topic Oriented Technical Meeting (TOTeM30).  Last week the preliminary organisation was completed. It has been agreed that the TOTeM30 Topic will be:

“CFD – Simulation of Combustion Processes”

The TOTeM will take place at Waikoloa, Hawaii, United States, on 25th and 26th October 2007.

The AFRC has kindly agreed to organise TOTeM30 in association with the American – Japanese Flame Research Committees’ International Symposium 2007; “Advances in Combustion Technology: Improving the Environment and Energy Efficiency” (http://www.calendar.ifrf.net/event.html?id=232) which will be held on 22nd – 24th October.  Both meetings will be held at the same location; the Marriott Waikoloa, Hawaii.

The Chairman of TOTeM30 is:

Dr Christopher Q. Jian, Director, Simulation Technology Solutions at the John Zink Company, Tulsa, Oklahoma in the USA.

Dr Jian has informed the IFRF that detailed planning is now in progress and that a Final Announcement will be published in the MNM in the near future. Meanwhile please update your  agenda/diary now and commence your planning now to attend both the IFRF TOTeM30 and the preceding American Japanese International Symposium. Both meetings are dealing with subjects that are of clear importance to IFRF Members.
