The Finnish Flame Research Committee selected Jukka Röppänen as its new chairman in March.

Jukka Röppänen is the R&D Manager in ANDRITZ, and his responsibilities include leading the global R&D of ANDRITZ recovery boilers.

Jukka Röppänen received his MSc in Power Plant Engineering and Applied Thermodynamics from Helsinki University of Technology (nowadays Aalto University) in 1996. The title of his master’s thesis was “The effect of a flue gas drier on designing a circulating fluidized bed boiler”. Before joining ANDRITZ in 2008, Jukka worked for Fortum and Metso for several years.
