IFRF will be attending two events over the next couple of months hosted by IFRF National Committees – the AFRC Symposium in Houston, USA  and the Nordic Flame Days in Stockholm, Sweden. Here’s a quick run down of both events:

AFRC 2017 Industrial Combustion Symposium: 17-20 September 2017; Houston, USA

IFRF will be speaking at the AFRC Annual Industrial Combustion Symposium – the leading North American forum on combustion and flame related research and industrial combustion applications. The theme of this symposium will be fired process heaters used in the refining and petrochemical industry and the speakers will explore themes in all applied industrial combustion topics (innovation, design, operation, safeguarding, trouble-shooting, etc.). The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Houston and begins on the evening of 17 September with a welcome drinks reception. The event programme is available here. The cost for this three-day event is $500 (€425). Papers presented here will be published in a special edition of our Industrial Combustion Journal.

Nordic Flame Days: 9-11 October 2017; Stockholm, Sweden

IFRF will also be speaking at the Nordic Flame Days – the Nordic meeting point for everybody involved in combustion or combustion related processes. The Flame Days 2017 will take place in Stockholm and are arranged by the Swedish and Finnish National Committees of IFRF and the Scandinavian-Nordic Section of the Combustion Institute (CINS). The submission deadline for papers and extended abstracts is on the 18th of September. Nordic Flame Days 2017 will be arranged on the campus of KTH the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden and will begin on the evening of the 9 October with a lab tour of the Division of Chemical Technology at KTH. The event programme is available here. The cost for attending this two-day event is 4000SEK (€420). Papers presented here will be published in a special edition of our Industrial Combustion Journal.

Also don’t forget to check out our next conference – IFRF 2018 Conference in Sheffield, UK on 30-31 May 2018. Registration and paper submission details will be published in September but in the meantime join our mailing list for the event by completing this form.
