Delegates may now register for the 2010 American Flame Research Committee Pacific Rim Symposium as well as for TOTeM 36 – Industrial Flares.  The two events take place one after the other at the Sheraton Maui, Hawaii, starting with the Symposium which runs from 26 to 29 September.  TOTeM 36 follows on September 30 and 1 October.

The AFRC International Symposia are held every 3 or 4 years and are open meetings which provide a unique forum for the exchange of information on applied research and technology for combustion and related topics.  This year the selected papers  have been contributed from 12 countries and cover a broad range of themes in industrial combustion, energy utilisation and related topics such as boilers, burners and flares.   Topics vary from combustion kinetics to industrial application case histories.

TOTeM 36 is the first in the history of IFRF Topic Oriented Technical Meetings to focus on Industrial Flaring.  The meeting will follow the traditional TOTeM format with keynote addresses from internationally recognized experts on the first day followed by round table discussion on the second day, aimed at identifying research needs in the field and the potential role of the IFRF in meeting those needs.

Both meetings will provide ample opportunities for networking and information exchange in a convivial atmosphere.  All the necessary information including a draft programme, a registration form and details of accommodation are included in the downloadable info pack to be found on the dedicated page occupied by each event on the IFRF Events Calendar – click the relevant link above.

For both meetings, registrations made before 9 August will attract a reduced participation fee.
