Following on from the recent event at the idyllic Sheraton Kauai, the American Flame Research Committee offers their 2014 Industrial Combustion Symposium at the Hyatt Regency Houston from 7-10 September. 

While the last two AFRC symposia gave delegates the opportunity to visit and network with their international colleagues at the historic Fort Douglas Officer’s Club (AFRC 2012) and the idyllic Sheraton Kauai (AFRC 2013), AFRC 2014 takes place in downtown Houston, now the reburgeoning center of the surging US multinational oil & gas industry.  Houston also offers non-stop access from all major international airports via George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). 

A First announcement and Call for Papers  has been published on the IFRF Events Calendar and contains a partial list of potential topics.  The list is not intended to be exclusive, and Symposium Chairman Jim Seebold stresses that all submitted abstracts will be considered by the AFRC 2014 Organizing Committee. 

The submission deadline is 15 July 2014.
