A mission of the AFRC is to provide timely open forums on the application of applied combustion research and technology to improve the competitiveness of North American Industries and to enhance the quality of life of its citizens. Help us achieve these important objectives.

“Meetings” are to meet. The challenges of the new millennium is to meet the challenges of better environment with a healthy competitive North American Industry.  The US DOE National Laboratories are eagerly to cooperate to fill in the gaps between Industrial Applied Technology and their Applied Research.

In 1985 Sandia hosted a similar meeting; topics were Coal Combustion,  Modeling and Diagnostics for Large Scale  Reactors, Small Scale Reactors and Engines.  In 1985 Sandia hosted “Combustion Research and Industrial Practice: From Equations to Equipment.”

This year, the American Flame Research Committee (AFRC) in cooperation with Combustion Research Facility of Sandia National Laboratory  invites  everyone to submit a paper to this annual autumn meeting – International Symposium on Combustion Research and Industrial Practice: Bridging the Gap.

We are looking forward to an enthusiastic response.  Every paper is important!
