International Symposium on Combustion Research and Industrial Practice: Bridging the Gap

The organisers would like to encourage anyone from industrial companies, research organisations, universities and others engaged in research, development and application of combustion technology for improvements related to combustion, pollution abatement and energy utilisation to participate and present a paper.  Authors are encouraged to present papers that will identify significant gaps remaining to be bridged in order for today’s combustion research to be of greatest value to industrial programs and practices.

If you are interested to submit a paper, please send a 150 to 300 words abstract by 15th April to the AFRC Conference Chairman. For details of this conference, please contact:

The Conference will include transportation from Hilton Livermore to Sandia National Laboratories, two continental breakfasts,refreshment breaks, two lunches, welcoming reception transportations from Hilton Livermore to gala dinner, gala dinner.  Registration may be completed by mail, fax, or e-mail. Payment can be made by check only. 

Due to the security restrictions, registration will be closed on 5th September 2003. Once  your registration is received, additional information may be needed (i.e. Social Security Number, Passport Number, etc.).  You will be contacted via e-mail for the additional information necessary.

A block of rooms has been reserved until September 15th at the Hilton Garden Inn, Livermore.  Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly +1 (925) 292-2000 or by calling Hilton’s central reservation number +1 (800) 774-1500.  When making reservation, refer to the AFRC Meeting to get the special rate of $118.00 for the dates 15-17 October 2003.  This special rate cannot be guaranteed after 15th of September.  There are other hotels in the Livermore area please visit http://www.ca.sandia.gov/Ca-site/hotels.html for other hotels in the local area.

Tours of Sandia National Laboratories, Combustion Research Facility (CRF) will be offered on Wednesday afternoon, 15th of October.
