The DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center “Oxyflame” is hosting an International Workshop on Oxy-Fuel Combustion on February 10th and 11th, 2016 in Montabaur, Germany. The workshop aims at bringing together everybody involved and interested in oxy-fuel combustion of solid fuels or combustion related heat transfer processes. This event should offer to participants the opportunity to present latest results, discuss current research and research needs related to fundamental questions of oxy-fuel combustion.
The following scientists will deliver keynote speeches:
– Ahmed. F. Ghoniem, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA
– Simone Hochgreb, University of Cambridge, UK
– Shuiqing Li, Tsinghua University Beijing, China
– Jonathan P. Mathews, Pennsylvania State University, USA
– Philip J. Smith, University of Utah, USAThe Collaborative Research Center “Oxyflame” has the objective to develop sophisticated models for oxy-fuel combustion of pulverized solid fuels. The Research Center consists of 17 projects dealing with fundamental experimental and theoretical work related to oxy-fuel combustion.
We are pleased to open the abstract submission and would like to invite you to contribute with your research results on oxy-fuel combustion of solid fuels. The call for abstracts, dates and a registration form are available here: http://www.oxyflame.de/events-press/events.html
The workshop program will be announced in November 2015.
