  • By now all readers should have clearly written in their agendas/diaries – MC14The 14th IFRF Members’ Conference – details as follows:

Where? – NH Leeuwenhorst Conference Centre, Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands

    When? – 11th – 14th May 2004

Theme? – A Sustainable Energy Supply for Industry – A Challenge for the IFRF

That is what it is all about – As we have just been reminded by our TOTeM26 Chairman, Nick Otter, “Whatever happens in the future it will be essential to address the clean use of fossil fuels as part of a portfolio approach“.  This will form the backbone of MC14 covering virtually all aspects of combustion/conversion.

    So what’s new?

Proposal for Papers – Podium Presentations

We are receiving abstracts but we can handle more.  The winter break is almost upon us – so we decided to extend the deadline for the call for abstracts for the podium papers/presentations.   The deadlines are now:

    • Receipt of proposal at IFRF – Monday 19th January 2004
    • IFRF informs authors – Wednesday 11th February 2004
    • Receive paper at IFRF – Friday 9th April 2004

The deadline for receipt of Poster Presentations abstracts and Exhibition proposal descriptions remains unchanged at Tuesday 16th March 2004.

    Change in the Programme Order

We have brought forward the voyage from IJmuiden to Amsterdam on the Kapitein Kok to the first night of the Conference – 12th May 2003.  The informal atmosphere with which we associate the Kapitein Kok, will help everyone to make new acquaintances and get the best value from the Conference.  The more formal Members’ Conference dinner is placed now on the 13th May 2003.

    Registration

The registration details are now published on the Conference Website.  These cover the Conference itself and the accommodation arrangements and costs. If you are online as you read this, download the “IFRF Members’ Conference – Registration & Hotel Booking Form“.  Print is and fill it in – Fax it to the IFRF.

We have taken great care to avoid unwelcome cost increases.  IFRF Members can take advantage 15% cost savings by registering on or before 14th February 2004 –  Discount Price – Eur 700 all in except for Hotel Accommodation.
