Total has completed the purchase of 73% of Direct Énergie for around €1.4 billion ($US1.6 billion). Direct Énergie serves around 2.1 million customers across France and Belgium, operating both as an electricity retailer and a power generator with a total capacity of around 800 MW from mainly gas-fired plants.
