A new article by Ron Bousso of Reuters analyses the threat to European energy infrastructure posed by the recent surge in Russian “warfare incidents”.
With temperatures set to start dropping, he says, these hybrid attacks mean governments need to plan a coordinated approach to prevent sabotage of a network that includes “thousands of kilometres of underwater and overground gas pipelines and power cables, LNG processing terminals, electricity pylons and substations, offshore oil and gas fields, and solar and wind farms.”
